Blurb:
Have you ever wondered where fairytales go once they're created?
It's been eight years since Story Sparks last had a dream. Now they're back, tormenting her as nightmares she can't remember upon waking. The black waters of Lake Sandeen, where her Uncle Peter disappeared decades before, may hold the secret to Story's hidden memories, or a truth she'd rather not know. On a bright summer afternoon, Story and her two best friends, Elliott and Adam, take a hike to the lake, where they dive into the cool water and never reemerge. What they find is beyond anything they've ever imagined could be possible, a world where dangers lurk in the form of Big Bad Wolves, living Nightmares and meddlesome witches and gods.
Now Story must remember who she really is and somehow stop two worlds from ultimate annihilation, all while trying not to be too
distracted by the inexplicable pull she feels toward a certain dark-eyed traveler who seems to have secrets of his own. The fates of the worlds are counting on her.

Book Review:
A book review is going to be difficult for me to do for this book. I mean, I think I just read one of the most amazing books I have ever read my entire life, and trust me when I tell you that is a lot of books. Fractured Dreams captured my heart and I hungered for more and more with every turn of the page as I wanted, no needed, to know what happened next. The plot was original, the characters love able and with twists and turns I wasn't sure what would happen next. The only thing I didn't like was the info dump. I felt lily there a little too much unnecessary information at times, the story could had continued without some of it. All in all, I loved this book and I can't wait for the next one!

Witch Hunt - Patti Larsen Review

Series: Hayle Coven
Book: Witch Hunt
Author: Patti Larsen
Genre: Paranormal, Young Adult, Fantasy
Book Synopsis:
Teen witch Sydlynn Hayle finally did it. Despite the fact she's a social outcast, Syd finally made friends. Even the captain of the football team wants to be her boyfriend. When an ancient power is freed to ravage her new town, Syd does her best to help her family fight. Too bad the mysterious Chosen of the Light don't see things her way. Their interference could lead to her family's destruction
Book Review:
Syd is back and better than ever! Just when things seem to finally be going her way (yay!), something new pops up that just brings her back to the life she wants to leave behind so bad (boo). My heart raced as I read this book, hanging onto every word as I turned the pages. I didn't know what to expect, but what popped up half the time was definitiely not something I dreamed up. Not just when it came to the world of magic she had always known, but also when it simply came to being normal. Now that was a new adventure for Syd, and she handled it pretty well (sort of, okay, well, just read it I can't find the best way to be honest here).
Family Magic - Patti Larsen Review

Series: Hayle Coven
Book: Family Magic
Author: Patti Larsen
Genre: Young Adult, Fantasy, Romance
Book Synopsis:
Her mom's a witch. Her dad's a demon. And she just wants to be ordinary. I batted at the curl of smoke drifting off the tip of my candle and tried not to sneeze. My heavy velvet cloak fell in oppressive, suffocating folds in the closed space of the ceremony chamber, the cowl trapping the annoying bits of puff I missed. I hated the way my eyes burned and teared, an almost constant distraction. Not that I didn't welcome the distraction, to be honest. Anything to take my mind from what went on around me. Being part of a demon raising is way less exciting than it sounds. Sydlynn Hayle's life couldn't be more complicated. Trying to please her coven, starting over in a new town, and fending off a bully cheerleader who hates her are just the beginning of her troubles. What to do when delicious football hero Brad Peters--boyfriend of her cheer nemesis--shows interest? If only the darkly yummy witch, Quaid Moromond, didn't make it so difficult for her to focus on fitting in with the normal kids. Add to that her crazy grandmother's constant escapes driving her family to the brink and Syd's between a rock and a coven site. Forced to take on power she doesn't want to protect a coven who blames her for everything, only she can save her family's magic. If her family's distrust doesn't destroy her first.
Book Review:
An amazing start to what appears to be a fantastic series from what I have read so far. I was hooked from the beginning, I don't think I have ever read a series quite like this one, which makes it all the better. The main character is a gem, there's a little bit of Syd in all of us, I know she has traits that definitely remind me of myself. The thing i think I love most about her is that fact that no matter what is happening, she still puts the love for her family ahead of things. So what if it means disobeying her mother aka coven leader, she's a badass heroine so it's okay. As the story unravels, my heart sped up at certain points where I thought it was going to jump out of my chest and find another body to inhabit. You know, get away from all the stress I was probably causing it. A story like this would be hard to maintain as it progressed, there would be lost of authors who lose the point in the middle of the book leaving readers unsattisfied. That is not the case here. Patti has given me all I could hope for and more.
Favorite Quotes:
"There's only one problem with mooping in your room for a whole day with no one to talk to. You have no one to talk to."
"I was done being a target, for my mother, for the Alison Morgan's of the world. They wanted a battle? They'd get one, Sydlynn Hayle style. Damn, I was late for class."
"The people who think witches are dangerous were never bullied in high school."
All in All:
A series with the promise of giving me more than I hoped for with each new book coming into my possession. I could barely put them down when I got my hands onto them, and I can't wait to read more of the series! You should too!

Severed Bonds - Kyra Dunst (Nikki)
Book: Severed Bonds
Author: Kyra Dunst
Genre: Fantasy
Book Synopsis: My life will never be the same again…
Sometimes I wonder if my life would have gone differently if I had been a little less impulsive. Most people would think twice about driving into a snowstorm, but not me. Now I am caught up in all sorts of trouble, and not of the weather variety.
Vampires, werewolves, and the Fae, oh my!
Yup, they exist, all right. And I landed smack dab in the middle of their little dispute. One faction wants to keep everything quiet, and the other? Well, they seek nothing less than total world domination. Or something.
And they both want me. Well, isn’t that special?
Now I am pulled so deep into their world that I can never hope to break free. Not only have I risked those I hold most dear, but I have discovered some things about myself that will change who I thought I was.
It really sucks when you find out your whole life was a lie…
My name is Alexandra Blakely, Lexi for short, and this is how it all began.
Book Review: There's a lot of books about vampires, or werewolves, or fae, or all three thrown together in one pot and cooked until it's a mess of confusion. This book did contain all three, but I felt that it flowed a lot better than some of the books I've read thus far. There were portions where I found myself skipping a few pages, though I think this is more my impatience and slight anxiety than it is the book. I enjoyed the love triangle, it was done in a more interesting way than others, and many of the plot twists kept me on my toes (though I did manage to guess who she would end up with). It may surprise you to know, if you've read the book, that my favorite character was Sierra. I love how she was portrayed. I must say she was rather unique, being what she is. I'm torn between wanting to have more of the story and enjoying where Alexandra is at the end of the book. I will admit, going from a book written extremely poetically with extremely detailed descriptions to a fast paced, more action and romance novel was a big change, but this was still a wonderful book. I loved this book, I can't wait to read more.
Quotes: I have to find these later. My kindle app and I are having a disagreement.

Sacrifice Of Love (Grey Wolves Series #7) - Quinn Loftis Review
Series: Grey Wolves Series
Book: Sacrifice of Love
Author: Quinn Loftis
Genre: YA, Romance, Fantasy
Book synopsis: As one evil falls, another rises in its place. The powerful witch, Desdemona, has finally been killed by an alliance of wolf, elf, and fae. But Reyaz, brother to Cypher the warlock king, has vowed retribution for a life that was taken from him. Now Cypher must decide not only how to protect his newfound mate and his people, but also how to destroy the only family he has left.
Meanwhile, Jen’s pregnancy progresses and the fateful due date draws ever nearer. The thought of losing Decebel’s child constantly threatens to overwhelm her. With each passing day, Decebel grows more distant, causing Jen to wonder what toll the impending loss of their child is taking on him. Unbeknownst to Jen, in an act of desperation to protect his unborn child and mate, Decebel strikes a deadly bargain with the Great Luna—his life in place of his child’s. There is only one way for that to happen; the bond between he and Jen must be broken.
As Jen as Decebel struggle through their darkness, another kind of darkness is infiltrating Fane’s heart. Doubts and questions linger as he tries to cope with the emotions brought on in the aftermath of Desdemona’s curse. He knows what happened wasn’t real, but still he can’t rid himself of the terrible images seared into his memory. Jacque is his light, the one who keeps the darkness at bay, yet he won’t let her inside to do just that.
Sally continues to learn what it means to be a gypsy healer and Costin struggles to protect her as she runs full speed ahead to help her wolves, heedless of her own safety. She sees her best friends struggling, each enduring their own trials. She’s desperate to help them, but can she keep them safe?
With all of these things hanging heavy over the heads of the Serbia and Romania packs, their attention is divided. The wolves do not even realize a threat has slowly infiltrated their midst. Will they recognize the threat in time to save the lives that precariously hang in the balance?
Against this backdrop of darkness, choices will be made, fears will confronted, and the ultimate sacrifice will be made. Will the wolves stand together to defeat the threats arrayed against them, both from within and without? Will love conquer all? Or will the beleaguered wolves finally succumb to their demons?
Quinn has once again proven why she is one of my all time favorite authors, with this last installment in the series. I felt joy, pain, I cried for literally an hour (Freaked my mom out A LOT but I digress). All our favorite furry, and non possible throw rug pelt, bearing characters are back in a story that will probably make you feel more destroyed than you have in some time, if at all.
Jen is still sassy, even more so now that her butts gotten big along with that belly, Jacque is still the in between of the trio, and Sally is still Sally with her inner Jen letting loose every now and then.
In this story, Quinn not only tests everything in her characters, but in her readers as well as we embarked on the final moments of our time with them. I threw down my kindle onto my couch a very large amount today, and just pointed in frustration. Twists and turns at every corner kept me on my toes, as Quinn always does to me, and I felt the need to pull my hair out.
It seems like things have spiraled down worse than ever seen before for our characters, and with every turn of the page it seems all is lost. If you have stuck through the series as I have, you will cry your eyes out. You will feel frustration, anger, hurt, and the need to punch things. But, you will also revel in the feelings of joy, laughter, and love brought out in the story with characters who could only bring such things forth even in the bleakest and darkest of times. With an ending that threw me off my couch (literally) you will be left breathless as you turn those final pages of the tale.
It saddens me to know this is what we will know as the end of our favorite characters tales, but its also calming to know that hopefully her worst had passed and no more evil shall be passed unto them. Quinn, has driven me crazy with the laughter and tears in not just this book but series, and once again and I do not and never will regret grabbing the first book out of curiosity. We had a great run, and for all things considered this series will forever be one of my all time favorites for the rest of my life.
Great job Quinn. Keep it up. We believe in you and everything you do.
"Something inside me has changed, grown darker, and colder. My wolf rages inside, constantly fighting me for control. I know I musn't give in. For if I do, chaos will come crashing down around us, along with lifeless bodies"
"'No, I'm not giving up on you, but I just might kill you.' She was coming to him; he could feel her getting closer.
'If dying by your hand means I can feel your touch, then you can kill me a thousand times.'"
"'How did I ever deserve to have you as a mate, Mina?' he asked her gently.
He felt her hand brush the back of his neck and her lips against his own.
'When I figure it out, I'll let you know,' she teased."
"'A tonic for what?'
'Overbearing, jealous, obnoxious, yet hot, werewolves.'
Costin let out a laugh that filled the room and flooded Sally's heart with joy.
'Will it affect my good looks,' he asked her playfully.
'Oh yes perfect' she muttered to herself ignoring his question.
'What's perfect?' he asked as he leaned over her shoulder to see what she was doing.
'You just reminded me that I forgot to add something to shrink your ego.'"
Peri snorted. 'Judging from the look of your expanding belly, I would say you must be succeeding.'
Jacque spewed the water she had been drinking out of her mouth as laughter bubbled up.
Jen patted her rounding stomach and grinned over at her mate. 'What do you think B? How's my aim.'
'Jen,' Jacque was still laughing as she tried to talk, 'your aim is not the one you should be worried about.'
Jen paused as she thought about Jacque's words and then a wicked, wicked grin spread across her face. 'Good call, Jacque. Alright, I'll revise my question,' she looked back over to Decebel. 'B, how's your aim?'"
"Couldn't we just have some pixies hell bent on stealing all the lime Popsicle in the world?"
"You know that isn't true. We can't see in the dark. There is nothing to light the way, so we stumble. We grope around hoping to find out way safe and sound. But there is nothing to grasp onto, and in the dark we can't see those who could help us."

Book Review:
I had heard nothing but good things about this book before I purchased it a while back, but I had never had the opportunity to read it. Am I glad I did though! This book will make you reconsider all the things you have done and will do in life, realizing that even the slightest decision can change everything. If there is ever a life lesson to learn about the value of the things you have and the path you will take due to decisions you make, take it away from this book. It seems that sometimes in the face of something like death we learn to change, but this book will help you change before you get to a point like that. It's 7 days of decision making that will keep on your toes, with characters that charm their way into your life one way or another. The characters were easy to love, though at first Sam was just another run of the mill have it all girls, as the plot continues you really start to see her change into someone you know you will not be forgetting any time soon.
Favorite Quote:
"I guess that's what saying good-bye is always like -- like jumping off an ledge. The worst part is making the choice to do it. Once you're in the air, there's nothing you can do but let go."
All In All: This book was more amazing than I thought it would be. This book made me reconsider who I am and everything I have ever done. Lauren Oliver has created a world where we are stuck inside dejavu, with characters you don't mind repeating the next 7 days with. If you get the opportunity go and buy this book. You will not regret it, I promise you.

Get Ready For The Apocalypsis (Apocalypis - Elle Casey)
Series: Apocalypsis
Book Name: Apocalypsis Kahayatle
Author: Elle Casey
Genre: Young Adult, Fantasy, Science Fiction, Dystopia, Horror, Thriller, Action
Book Synopsis:
My name's Bryn Mathis. I'm seventeen years old, and I live in a neighborhood outside of Orlando. Florida. I live alone because my dad died almost a year ago, along with all the other adults in the world. I'm almost out of food and the gangs of kids that roam around my town are getting more vicious by the day. It's time for me to leave and find another place to live... a place where I can find food and shelter... a place where they won't be able to find me. Alone, it might have been possible; but now I've got company. I'm worried that I don't have what it takes to get from here to my final destination. And I have no idea what might be waiting for me when I get there.
Book Review: The world has come to end for all those between the ages of 10 and 20, while the rest have found their solace in death. Now those who are left must fend for themselves and some have become desperate, desperate enough to eat anything. I have to say, this book blew me away. With action, humor and a small hint at a possible romance I loved it. At every moment reading this book you were highly aware of everything going on in this book but nothing around you as you were pulled deeper and deeper into this sometimes fast paced plot. The characters were developed quite well, and as the book goes on you learn more about them.
If you get pulled in as much as I did, you may want to be careful not to attack anyone that comes near you when you are reading thinking they are there to attack you. The plot and the story line kept me glued to my seat with my kindle in my hand at almost all times. The tension you felt like the characters did coursed through me as I read, I felt their pain and smiled as they joked along the way.
Favorite Quote: "No wonder the world came to an end. Everyone living in it was a bunch of assholes."~Peter
All In All: Elle has once again rocked my world with another amazing cliff hanger (dang her and her cliff hangers). She has created a world that en wraps the reader into a place where we can only hope we don't end up. If you are into young adult post apocalyptic books that will keep you in your seat then you know you have to check out this book. I give this book a 4.5 stars!
