I’m sick and tired of my boss, DeVon Ricci, screwing with me. He signed the guy I was seeing just so I couldn't date him, and now he fired an employee who’d insulted me.
If he wasn't expecting me to flirt with every top Hollywood executive to help him close deals, I might have thought he felt something for me.
The problem is, as angry as he makes me, I can't stop thinking about him. There is only one way I know to get him out of my mind. I have to f**k him.
The CEO of Mirage Talent, DeVon Ricci needs to be in control, but ever since Krissy Jensen walked into his company, he's found his control slipping. He knows what he needs to do to get it back again, but the more time he spends with her, the less he's sure he'll be able to follow through.
When two passionate, headstrong people finally crash together, they can't help but ignite. The question is, will either of them be able to walk away unburned?
“I liked the way she felt in my arms and that she wanted me,
but it wasn’t the way I liked it with other women. It wasn’t about the power I had over
them. She made me feel like I was
something special, and it had been a long time since a women had made me feel
While I am still having a hard time liking DeVon, I must
admit that this man sounds as slick as an oil executive, and better looking
than Adonis. And fortunately, his icy black
heart seems to be thawing, though he is still very much a cruel bastard. I wasn’t sure whether I wanted to continue reading
this series after I had finished Part 1, as I had found DeVon to be utterly
contemptible… but hot damn! I do believe
I am coming around as I am now totally impatient for Part 3. The sex scenes are sizzling hot and
deliciously steamy now that our two main characters are falling for each
other. However, I know I am really not
suited to read book series, I worry I am going to forget too many of the
salient details by the time the next book comes along. Luckily, this series is memorable as well as
brief, so I could easily go back and reread them to refresh my memory. But the wait in between releases - now that I
am invested in the story – torturous! M.S.

“You gotta stop saying things like that.”
“Why?” I see him push off the counter and step around to face me. He brings a hand up to run his thumb across my cheek and my breath hitches at the intimate contact. His touch still seems to shoot electricity through me. My skin is on high alert when he’s around and I can feel the pace of my heart pick up into a full gallop by the close proximity of him.
“Be.. because I said so?” It shouldn’t have come out as a question and it lacked the conviction that I was feeling inside.
“I don’t think you mean that. I think you like it when I say nice things about you. You just don’t know how to handle them. Jordan, you are a beautiful person no matter what people may have said to you in the past. I know you hide behind that shy exterior, but you need to push that aside and not let people put you down. You have the most amazing wavy, red hair. I didn’t even know it came in that shade naturally. Your eyes are the most brilliant green I’ve ever seen.”
