Sienna Diaz is everyone’s favorite “fat” funny lady. The movie studio executives can’t explain it, but her films are out-grossing all the fit and trim headliners and Hollywood’s most beautiful elite. The simple truth is, everyone loves plus-sized Sienna.
But she has a problem, she can’t read maps and her sense of direction is almost as bad as her comedic timing is stellar. Therefore, when Sienna’s latest starring role takes her to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park she finds herself continually lost while trying to navigate the backroads of Green Valley, Tennessee. Much to her consternation, Sienna’s most frequent savior is a ridiculously handsome, charming, and cheeky Park Ranger by the name of Jethro Winston. Sienna is accustomed to high levels of man-handsome, so it’s not Jethro’s chiseled features or his perfect physique that make Sienna stutter. It’s his southern charm. And gentlemanly manners. And habit of looking at her too long and too often. Sienna has successfully navigated the labyrinth of Hollywood heartthrobs. But can she traverse the tenuous trails of Tennessee without losing her head? Or worse, her heart?

Favorite Quotes:
I looked as his uniform again. It was green and not blue. I shrugged, not caring what kind of official he was just as long as he helped me get out of this Twilight Zone episode before the banjo music started to play and the flannel-wearing bloodhounds arrived.
Cletus had been known to sell our more embarrassing pictures on stock photo sites. Whereas, my youngest brother, Roscoe, would make them into photo calendars and gift them at Christmas.
Don't clutch your pearls at me, big brother. Look at her, for hootenanny's sake. She's got the hots for your ugly face, Lord help her. And I know you've been thinking about her, judging by how long you took in the bathroom this morning.
I would want forever with you... or at least a shot at it.
You two can't stop looking at each other, and she blushes like a pole-dancing virgin every time your eyes meet.
My gaze cut to hers - to this gorgeous, clever, strong woman... I might not ever truly deserve her, but I would work every day to be a man who did.
Because when I'm with you, I feel like I'm both flying and falling.
My Review:
Every review I have written for Penny Reid essentially says the same thing. I adore Penny Reid, I exuberantly worship at her altar, she is divine, she is highly skilled, she is extremely witty and clever, she is nothing short of spectacular. Penny Reid is a GENIUS - yes - in shouty caps! And every single time I read a Penny Reid book, I want to stop time and ONLY read and savor Penny Reid books for the rest of my days. Her characters are well drawn, fully formed; and several steps beyond merely quirky as they are odd yet adorable, flawed, complex, smart, hard working, riotously amusing, tortured, totally endearing, and irresistibly lovable. I smirk, snort and bark aloud as I read her smartly written, highly humorous, totally addicting, emotive, heart squeezing, deliciously steamy, and unfailingly entertaining tales. More please!
