MY RATING: FAVORITE QUOTE: “God must’ve been in a really good mood when Mark had been conceived.  Grossly unfair, but such was life.” MY REVIEW: I adore Nadia Lee’s books.  She almost makes me believe that rich men can be adorable, and can be capable of indulging and loving women that are independent, less than perfect, and not of their social class.  And of course they are all successful, well educated, handsome, well endowed, toned, and talented in bed.  Alas, I think we need to change the genre to science fiction or fantasy, as that is not at all what occurs in the real world – but that is why we read books is it not?   Ms. Lee delivers beautiful visuals, as if a movie reel is running in my head.  Her writing is also emotive, I feel their embarrassment, humiliation, as well as their elation and relief.  Alas, only one steamy sex scene in this novel – shucks.  But there is plenty of drama and disappointments for our heroine, whose crazy family history makes my own seem much rosier in comparison.  As always, I look forward to more of the story and will be anxiously awaiting her next book in the series, yet thankfully, no cliffhangers - as each can stand alone.   Empress DJ
