Favorite Quotes:

“Carly, I swear I don’t know where you find these devilishly sexy men, but if I ever leave Josh, I’ll be raiding your man candy dish.”

“Just tryin’ to ease your nerves you filthy minded freak.  Get on the table and wait for the doctor like a good girl.”

My Review:

I almost always struggle when reading a series, especially when there has been a considerable time lag between installments.  I typically start off feeling a bit lost as I have either forgotten or confused most of the secondary characters, as well as many of the salient details about the story.  So it took me a few chapters to find my sea legs with this book, as the beginning of the story had me truly muddled.  When I finally started making connections and settling in, the story took off like a rocket and I was holding onto my precious kindle for dear life.  We find there are many deep and hideous secrets that go all the way around and circle several times to surround this small yet intense group of people.   There is a bit of everything in the mix, humor, suspense, illness, pregnancy, sass, drama, angst, tears – someone is always crying their eyes out – tenderness, abuse, brawling, heartache, and oh yes… deliciously steamy sensual scenes.  It was a long and involved story, and I enjoyed several nights of sleeplessness and subsequent book hang-overs – so worth it!  Ms. Webb has concocted a well plotted and intriguing story that I don’t think I could ever tire of.  She is devious in sprinkling details about and parceling out its-and-bits of information to keep me involved in the story, and unable to put my kindle down.  She is a wicked woman, even though my eyes are red and my head is sore and wooly, I am already feeling restless and tapping my foot while waiting for her next one.

Silla Webb is a Kentucky native, raised in the heart of the Eastern Kentucky coal fields. A coal truck driver's daughter, and a railroader's wife, the coal fields own a special place in her heart.

Silla is a work at home, Super Momma to three rowdy boys, who keep her on her feet from daylight to sunset. As a pass time from her everyday life, Silla started a blog-Momma's Secret Book Obsession, for reviewing romance novels. From there, she realized that not only did she have a natural love for reading and reviewing, but she found that lost love of writing that she once had as a young girl.

When she isn't conquering the world as a wife, momma and Super Woman, Silla loves to lay on the front porch swing and read while sipping sweet tea, just passin' the day away.
