Monday

I could hear them in my head telling me to loosen up, let him explore and nurture my garden of earthly delights. Since seeing his words on the napkins, they had been referencing sex by inventing naughty garden terms that included texting phallic produce to my phone.

… thanks to poetic words whispered intimately from Basil’s incredible mouth. Petals, silk, velvet, fragrant, love… yes, he was quite fond of that word and used it often. If not for him putting on the breaks, turning us so that my back was to his front, encouraging us to sleep, I would’ve been deflowered. It didn’t matter that I was no longer a virgin, I just knew by the way he caressed me in all the right places that pollination with him would mean so much more than it ever had.

Oh, just one more block and elevator ride and you can fertilize my garden, pluck my petals… No more sexy words.

Tuesday

I like my coffee the same way I like my liquor; with a double shot. Hit me! Make it knock my socks off.

There will be no ends for us, only beginnings.

We’re going on a date-date. I’ll pick you up, take you to dinner and then take you home and present you with a lot of good night kisses that last til morning.

Wednesday

She undoubtedly knew about their semi-private island in the Bahamas and how they were photographed nude via a long-range lens from a supposed vacationing yacht cruising by. If I had to hear about my father’s junk again I would scream. It was bad enough to have your mother call you and tell you to steer clear of the internet because your father’s huge packet was everywhere.

Thursday

A gym rat, that’s what he was. Depending on the time of day— before or after the gym— he either got a hot coffee or iced mocha latte. Always the coffee in his cup had to be as he ordered it ‘bold, rich and strong like me.’ He was so full of himself.

Imagine the abs… his lickable abs. Saylor, you should spill hot coffee on him so he has to take his t-shirt off in a hurry.

There’s a saying that goes something like; if people annoy you, simply ignore them, and they will go away. You don’t want me to go away. You want me as much as I want you… since the first day I saw you almost two years ago on a Thursday morning.

I know something big with a low calorie count you could put into your mouth, and as a bonus, I hear it releases essential vitamins right down your throat.

Friday

Well, at least my business life was good. My love life was in the dumps. Actually it didn’t even exist and I was sure that if not for my battery operated friend, I’d have cobwebs growing downstairs— if you know what I mean.

‘So here are my desired alerts; if he looks good send me a text Laced with Spice and if not a good match in your eyes— knowing my standards— send me a text Out of Coffee… That is the only way I am following through, like it or not ladies. You’re either with me or getting fucked up haircuts the next time you come into my salon.’  It was amazing how quickly they agreed to help me out…not that I would ever ruin my beauty engineer status for any man. I had a professional reputation to uphold.

You’re not experiencing love at first sight. You love my wit. I get that a lot and it usually goes all downhill from there. Wine… let’s order wine. It makes me look a whole lot better, I assure you.

Saturday

I come from a long line of rebellious people…

I thought she was my one and only forever. Funny how things changed when the real one came along and you realized that the first one was just a warm-up.

My Review:

Each novella in this series was a deliciously naughty treat.  Each installment provided an amusing, sweet, sexy, and engaging story featuring the endearing and quirky personnel and close friends of Cafélicious, a bistro/bakery that specialized in comfort food, good coffee, and the famous, highly praised, and secretly named Orgasm Cookies.  I adored and was enamored with each character and appreciated how the series was interconnected and featured a different couple in each installment while still continuing to involve the previously featured characters and their tales.  While each installment was complete and could stand alone – well, what’s the fun in that?  Read them all!
