Meet ivy league socialite, Leo Richards, and struggling ballerina, Adeline Parker, in this angsty, emotional page-turner.
POINTE
Getting screwed over backstage by my married-ex tears my heart into a million tiny pieces.
Sitting in the audience at the ballet with my former fling wasn’t my idea of fun.
I live in my pointe shoes, not even my ex can taint my love for ballet.
I hate the ballet. This on again/off again crap was getting old.
And then my whole world changes when I notice the smoldering gaze…
Then I look to the stage, and I can’t take my eyes off…
OF...
Leo Richards.
Adeline Parker.
Concentrating on anything except his sexy…everything, is impossible.
Her presence commands my attention…I’ve never experienced this before.
He makes me second-guess everything I’ve ever dreamed about.
She makes me question everything I’ve ever known.
Fighting him is a strategic sport—no clothes allowed.
All I can think about are her sexy ballerina legs wrapped around me—tutu definitely on.
BREAKING
Our scandalous rendezvous is plastered all over NYC’s tabloids.
Because of my status in Manhattan, now I’ve dragged her into the limelight.
My ex will stop at nothing to tear us apart.
Seriously powerful people forbid me to be with her.
Rumors about his past keep building.
I can’t tell her this secret.
When it came to Leo, I only knew the big things.
When it came to Adeline, I knew nothing about the little things.
But uncovering those things about him [her] may push us past our breaking point.

Favorite Quotes:
“He was
everything I didn’t know I wanted. That
scared me.”
“Next to her
was a girl with breasts so perky they had to have been purchased.”
“Wasn’t that
what life was comprised of? A few
precious moments to treasure?”
“I envisioned
meeting his mother vastly different. She
looked ready to beat me with her purse and walk all over me with her Louis
Vuitton shoes!”
“Her eyes
squinted hard through the opening on the helmet. Or they would have been squinting if they
weren’t so full of Botox.”
“I closed my
eyes and savored the sound of the sweet whisper that slipped from his
lips. It wasn’t a big thing; hearing
your lover whisper your name as the sun peeked over the horizon. It was small things, like a whisper of
adoration. That ever-seemingly
unimportant whisper meant the world.”
My Review:
I almost
passed this book over when I first glanced at it and saw it was yet another
ballet book… sigh… then I noticed the name of one of my favorite authors - Amy
Daws – yay! Yet I still had a moment of hesitation as my finger floated above
the button. I remember my inner debate and waffling, but I totally adore Amy
Daws – she is clever, talented, and wicked funny. I boldly
clicked through and took the chance. Since
starting the book I have run the gamut of emotions. I frowned, I panted, I giggled, and then I
ground my teeth and began to curse Amy Daws. I uttered every obscene word I knew and made
up a few addition ones! Waa… she broke
my heart. Then she tortured me with pages
and pages and mountains of angst from both main characters (not a big fan of
that), then she partially put me back together, then she teased me, then
finally – oh happy day – the sun has returned, the birds are singing, and she has
made me smile and chair dance once more.
I am exhausted, but I may forgive her as… I do love Amy Daws. But be warned - she is a gifted she devil!

Amy Daws lives in South Dakota with her husband, Kevin, and their miracle daughter, Lorelei. The long-awaited birth of Lorelei is what inspired Amy's first book, Chasing Hope, and her passion for writing. On most nights, you can find Amy and her family dancing to Strawberry Shortcake's theme song or stuffing themselves inside children's-sized playhouses because there is nothing they wouldn't do for their little miracle.
