Title: Tattered on My Sleeve
Series: Lost Kings MC #4
Author: Autumn Jones Lake
Release Date: July 28, 2015
*Although this is the fourth book in
the Lost Kings MC series, Wrath and Trinity’s story can be read first.
Blurb
Trinity Hurst.
That girl fucking owned me the minute I laid eyes on her. At twenty-one years old she already had a cold, calculating wall around her. The walls she built up around herself were designed to keep guys like me away. Underneath her tough girl exterior lay something sweet and vulnerable that I very much wanted to explore.
I had her first.
I fell in love with her.
Then we fucked everything up.
Wrath.
His name should have been lust. Pure, soul-shattering lust was the deadly sin I felt when I looked up—way up—into his ocean blue eyes. I should despise bikers. I should most definitely steer clear of this one, with his thick, muscled arms, and low sensual voice. My normally impeccable self-preservation instinct vanished the minute he walked in the door. Like everything else in my life, I fucked it up. And he’s never going to forgive me.
Old Habits Die Hard.
Wrath and Trinity met when the Lost Kings MC was on shaky ground. After three perfect nights together, Wrath knew she was it for him. But Trinty’s dark past was about to catch up to her and the Lost Kings MC was her only hope for protection. One misunderstanding led to a chain of mistakes that pushed them apart for years. When long-buried secrets are finally revealed, Wrath will stop at nothing to break their bad habits and make Trinity understand—she belongs to him.
Author’s note: There is no actual cheating in Tattered on My Sleeve.

Favorite Quotes:
“Wrath. His name should have been lust, because that was the deadly sin
burning through me when I looked up – way up – into his ocean blue eyes.”
“Dumping the
entire box of laxatives in the coffee pot, I muse that caffeine will be the
least of their concerns in two to four hours.”
“I own a ton
of makeup. But every time I use it, I
end up looking like a cracked-out clown.”
“That he
thanks me so honestly, twists my insides.
This big, powerful man could hold me down and force me to do whatever he
wanted. Yet he’s always so gentle with
me. Sweet even. A side of him that belongs only to me.”
My Review:
I am all-in
with the Lost Kings and totally hooked on this series and author. I have no tattoos and I personally know next
to nothing about bikers… but I don’t need to. This series is a highly addicting and sensual
love story, with a large cast of characters.
During the previous volumes, I had become intrigued with, and wanted to
know more about, Trinity and Wrath. I was
thrilled that this whole hella long book was not only their story, but was occurring
along the same time-line as the first three books, and was being told from
their perspective. Wrath and Trinity’s
story is fierce and passionate, much like Wrath, with volcanically erotic and
sweet and tender love scenes. Ms. Lake’s
characters are unique, quirky, interesting, multi-faceted, and likable. They
are thugs and criminals, and I am okay with that. They may do awful things, but they are not all
awful people. The plot is unpredictable
yet the writing is smooth, deliciously steamy, unfailingly entertaining, and
engrossing. I doubt I would never tire
of reading about the adventures and misadventures of this odd collection of
misfits and broken people, who somehow combine to create something
functional. More please.
