My Review:

Bitter Sweet Cravings brings a satisfying end to the thrilling and steamy Kingmen MC series. Tara Oakes was one of my first experiences with the MC genre, and it has been a delightful introduction and entertaining ride. Her writing is smooth, comfortable, humorous, easy to follow, and involving. I seem to quickly absorb her books as I tend to race through them, eager to see what is going to happen next. I like getting the various POVs from the quirky characters of sassy women and the alpha men who adore them. I feel a bit sad knowing the series has concluded, but I have faith that Ms. Oakes will have no difficulty in crafting new projects to keep us entertained for years to come.

My Review:

Betrayed is largely the story of questionable Carmine and testy Theresa as they navigate the waters of reconciliation and relight the fuse on their love affair. And – oh my - it is a sexy and steamy tale since they are a pair of passionate and argumentative people. Carmine’s loyalty and history are dubious, and Theresa is sarcastic and feisty, so the narrative circles a bit before the fireworks ensue. And while they are getting their love life straightened out, there is also a mystery that needed to be unraveled and solved. The story maintained the suspense and intrigue from the previous installments, added in some international travel and family drama, then tied it all up with an interesting and satisfying conclusion for the series.

This is a short companion novelette to lay more background in to Clink and Charlie's life before the Kingsmen MC, book 4.5 to help you better understand this couple before we see their resolution in book 5, BITTER SWEET CRAVINGS, due Summer 2015.

My Review:

I always struggle a little bit when reading individual books as they are released in a series, as between books I tend to forget what was going on. However, Tara Oakes’s stories are so unique and vivid, that poses less of a problem for me than it typically would be. This installment was short and tantalizing, I want more and I want it now. I hope Ms. Oakes is currently locked in her office pounding out the promised conclusion to the Kingsmen series - and I will beg and plead that it has a HEA for Charlie and Clink – as she currently has me worried.

My Review:

I don’t know why I think I am not much of a paranormal reader, but when I see listings for such, my typical reaction is, “No thank you.” But when I was ever so politely asked by the precious PA for my girl Tara Oakes, I stuttered a bit then decided to give it a try. I am wanting to kick myself now for typically passing up and dismissing this genre. And I am so glad Ms. Oakes has a tireless PA who took the time to bring it to my attention and ask me directly - as I truly enjoyed it! Stain, Book 1 of the My Soul to Wake series actually seemed more of a YA romance with a paranormal twist. Which means I actually broke two of my blogging habits – as I don’t usually read YA either. But I have learned my lesson… whatever and whenever Tara Oakes writes, I will sit down and read. Her writing is always well written and a welcome and entertaining escape, regardless of the genre.
