After a messy divorce, Dannie O’Brien has come home to Whisper Lake, Oregon. She’s off men for life—vowing to the goddesses, she’ll never be a huckleberry, again.
Dino Coletti, Manhattan’s hottest bachelor doc, moves to small town—smaller lake, Oregon. Why he felt the need to leave NYC, and his manwhoring ways behind him—he had no clue. Then he saw her, and he knew she was the one he didn’t know he was even looking for.
Life on Whisper Lake will never be the same, when a smart-mouthed, independent, wounded woman, meets a man who’s convinced they’re destine, and she’s convinced he’s a snake in the firs.

Review:
I declare TL
Alexander to be the queen of witty banter, as she has more than mastered this
skill. Her dialogues in One More Shot were rapid fire,
hilarious, and miles beyond clever. I frequently
barked, snorted, and laughed aloud as I read, and I do believe I maintained a
near constant smirk throughout. The writing
was crisp, whip smart, and engaging. The
plot was interesting, relevant, observant, and unfailingly entertaining. I adored her Layer’s series but believe this
book is her best work yet. Her humor is addicting,
snarky, wicked funny, and creatively naughty. I did not
want the fun to end and am already jonesing for the next installment. I may need rehab if she doesn’t hurry.

About the Author
Hey, girlfriends and guyfriends… So…what about me? Well…I live in the good old USA, the Pacific Northwest, to be more specific. Everything here is green and soggy, but it’s grown on me like…moss and slugs.
I love to read and write. I read mostly romance, but I love a good mystery or biography. I love to laugh myself to pee-my-pants, and do so whenever possible ( own lots of undies).
I possess a very imaginative way with words (potty-mouth), and I can’t get enough of DIY words…linguistatard, gaywadest…the list is never ending.
When not writing or reading, I’m driving my family friggin' ass-crazy. And when not doing that…I garden, do projects (got to have a project) and travel—whenever possible (never enough).
Layers, is my first self-published romance series—but far from my last. I’ve got lots more to write about when Alexia, Jaxson, Jules and the gaywads, are written off into the sunset. I'm excited about my next series—Girlfriends Goddesses and Barflies—it's going to be fun!
A special shout-out to my fans…I love you! I love your—“you go girlfriends,” your DIY words, and your potty mouths. Potty mouths unite! Potty-mouths rule! Potty-mouths take over the world! Damn fucking straight! Thank you for taking a chance on a new author and for all your wonderful (colorful) words of encouragement and wisdom.
Make sure to check out my site often for updates and other fun stuff. Leave me a hey you, or even a review…what the hell! I'd love to hear from you. ( that friggin' rhymes) Contact me on my contact page tlalexanderauthor.com

Review:
Score! I am in love with all the characters in the
Layer’s series and don’t want it to come to an end, but of all the smartly
written books in this series, I loved this installment the most. I tend to avoid series as I am prone to
forgetting too many salient details between volumes, but that was not a problem
for me here as Ms. Alexander’s writing is exquisite and more than
memorable. Her plot lines are lively,
fun, entertaining, deliciously steamy, yet also insightful and moving. I tend to devour her books as I cannot seem
to put them down or read them fast enough, although I also want to savor the
sparkling dialogs infused with clever humor and witty banter. She has mad skills and I want to read every
word she ever puts on a page. Sigh, I
wonder if she could be bribed into continuing this series into infinity.

TL Alexander lives in the Pacific Northwest, USA. When not behind her laptop writing her latest and greatest, you can find her in her garden or driving her family crazy with her many ideas and projects. She likes to travel, sit on the beach with a Mexican beer in hand, drinking cheap Swedish flavored vodka, and listening to alternative rock music. She dislikes cleaning her house, laundry, slugs, and reality TV. She loves to hear from her readers, so leave her a “hey you,” comment, or review, on her website, social media sites, or e-book purchase site.

The Layer Series is written for adults, by an adult (this is questionable). In contains adult language, and adults doing adult stuff like, hot sex and drinking scotch. It’s written for those who like to laugh and maybe shed a tear or two.
Dive into Layers
Hi. My name is Alexia, and this is my story. I’m not your typical girl--so this isn’t your typical…virginal girl goes to college, (or whatever) meets and falls for the hot, alpha, kinky, bazillionaire. Then after a lot of hot sex (one hundred thousand orgasms) they get married and live happily-ever-after, in a mansion with his and her playrooms.
Now don’t get your grannie panties in a twist. All’s not lost. There is a hot guy “lots of hot guys. And my guy—yeah, he’s hot. He takes my breath away. And the sex…Oh my! But the happily-ever-after part, well…
So, girlfriends (and guys) if you want to laugh out-loud—say ‘what the’ a lot, and maybe shed a tear or two. Then come along for the ride. Because, OMG what a ride it is!
The Girl
Alexia Keith has issues and the last thing see needs is the CEO of Ryan Acquisitions messing with her issues.
Her boss is hot. Okay he's real hot but he's off limits. She can look but she must never touch—never.
But like all things in her life it becomes complicated. She finds Mr. Ryan 'hard'…and even harder to resist.
The Guy
Jaxson Ryan thinks he has everything—looks, wealth, job,—the junk.
But that everything turns into a not so everything the minute he meets her—Alexia Keith.
His new risk manager takes his breath away, ties up his tongue and make his…
He wants her and is going to have her—no one has ever turned down this CEO—ever.
It will be a piece of cake—a walk in the park. Right?
Alexia and Jaxson's story continues in More Layers.
What will happen? Will they get their Happily-Ever-After?
Life is funny. I’m not referring to the "ha, ha, ha" kind of funny. I’m referring to the “who would have guessed?” or the “no freakin' way” kind of funny. No way would I have ever believed that I would get a second chance at love. And no friggin' way would I have ever guessed it would begin in Vegas. I mean, come on girlfriend!
Vegas is the place where you lose your mind, your inhibitions, and your next month’s rent. Vegas isn’t where you go to learn truths, rethink your choices, and reconnect.
But then again, this is me we are talking about. So welcome to Vegas or…as they say—Viva Las Vegas, baby.
The third book in the Layers Series. The end to Jaxson's and Alexia's story.
Alexia Grant was so close to her happily-ever-after, all she had to do is reach out a grab it…
Jaxson Ryan was so close to having the woman, the life, he’s always wanted. But that was before…
Alexia—The broken part of me—is me. It’s my blood, my flesh, and my bones. It’s cancer in remission, not to be disturbed. If it is, it will metastasize, it will kill me.
Jaxson Ryan—We’d gone beyond, over the hurdle that had pushed us apart so many times before. I was close to touching that place she hides from everyone, even herself, but now…
Alexia Grant
I was that kind of girl. You know the one. I used my imagination to escape, not to create. I dreamt in black, lived in white. I wore days-of-the-week undies, changing them precisely at one minute past midnight. I read Exploring Microbiology and Fundamentals of Finance, for fun. Everyday things captivated me. Like adding, multiplying, and dividing, the polka dots on my tights.
But no one saw that girl, the real me. Never going pass the façade, under the layers. I wasn’t the princess; they’d made me out to be. Peas under my mattress—bring them on. Sure, I had the things, all the fluff, and stuff. None of it mattered, none of it real.
I craved the real—the truth. I searched, I waited, but it never came. Sad and angry came; leaving this life I called, bitch. She was a hard one; we didn’t get along, at first. But I played her games; we made progress, then peace. She laid out her rules; I accept her limitations and boundaries. We were good, I made a plan, had a direction. I was surviving, making my way, minding my own business. But she wasn’t satisfied—blowing it all to hell. She wanted more, the whole chimichanga. That interfering bitch!

My Review:
This was my first exposure to T.L. Alexander, and
shortly after beginning Layers, I hurriedly logged into Goodreads and added all
her books to my TBR. Layers was a zippy read and good fun most of the through,
with clever word-play, witty banter, steamy sensual scenes, and funny word
salads. Although there was always this maddening secret that I knew was out
there, but wasn't privy to. Then a nasty turn of events and a wicked
cliffhanger totally wiped the smile from my face, squeezed my heart, and stole
all the air from my lungs. I was devastated! I called the author every nasty
name I could think of as I was totally invested in the story. That crafty
she-devil had lured me in like a siren - only to let me crash on the rocks...
And I would still be fuming, swearing, and stomping my feet if I didn’t already
have books 2 and 3 on my kindle. Phew – crisis averted.
More naughty goodness continues with More Layers,
the second of series, which I actually enjoyed more than I expected. More
Layers provided more intrigue as well as a hefty dose of steam and family
drama. The witty banter continues and humorous babbling is an added bonus and I
was breezing happily along when another heinous cliffhanger erupts. I learned
my lesson, I will always make sure I have all volumes of any series before I
ever attempt to read this wickedly good author again. She has proved herself to
be an evil genius.
With Beneath the Layers - Finally! Praise be to
the book goddesses, finally, and hopefully, Ms. Alexander will let Jax and
Alexia be happy and stay happy, rather than torturing them with more break-ups
and mayhem. Poor Alexia had broken bones, been repeated knocked up, shot,
shocked, set-up for criminal investigation, cheated on, heartbroken, and
miscarried. What more could happen to the poor thing? Despite the misadventures
listed, these books were enthralling, maddening, steamy, addicting, and just…
delicious. Sigh, so glad they got their HEA, yet I am already feeling
withdrawals.
