My Review:

I wasn’t sure if I was going to enjoy this series after reading the first installment, as I thought the main character was a sadistic prick.  But I am glad I hung in there as he began to show different facets and I saw a glimmer of hope.  While he is still pretty much a bastard to most by the end of the tale, he is somewhat lovable, and actually has a beating heart some redeeming qualities.  The book is easy to read and easy to follow.  The erotic fantasy and musings are edgier than the sensual scenes, and may be disturbing to some.  M.S. Parker always brings the steam.

My Review:

I recently read the Club Prive series by the same author, and enjoyed it immensely.  The female lead in Chasing Perfection branches off from the Club Prive story, and while I do enjoy her story line, I am not sure I will enjoy this series as much, as I am having a hard time stomaching the main male character.  DeVon is a cruel bastard, as well as a total asshole. I enjoy Ms. Parker’s writing, which never fails to provide crisp imagery, but unless there is some major shift in the works, I really cannot see myself investing my time in such a sadistic prick.  This is a much edgier read...
