Book Review, Giveaway: Steele, Book 3 Carolina Bad Boys by Rie Warren

Steele: Into Your Heart (Book #3)

SYNOPSIS:

Brodie Steele is a badass MC dude. Ashe Kingston is a sexy police officer with an attitude. Their bad blood runs deep. But after they hook up at a wild biker week, can they keep their pact? What happens at Bike Week stays at Bike Week. Yeah, right.

Riding out the rough years following a family tragedy, Brodie is still trying to put his life back together when he finds something he never expected with Ashe. She annoys the ever lovin’ hell out of him, and turns him on so much he can’t see straight. He keeps coming back for more.

Ashe isn’t just a hard-nosed police officer. And she wants no part of Brodie outside of their no-strings-attached fling. There’s no way he’s settling-down material but he’s hard to resist with his inked sleeves and rebellious ways, not to mention piercings in places that make Ashe melt. Brodie Steele is dangerous, delicious, and suddenly determined to have her.

If there’s anything more risky than laying his heart on the line for this sexy woman, it’s Ashe’s job. It puts her life in danger in a way he can’t possibly protect her from. Can their hot bond win out over the bad blood of years past? Or will Ashe be taken from Brodie before she lets him into her heart?

Favorite Quotes:

“I want breakfasts, and fights, and finding out how annoying you can really be.”

“She frowned at me as if I’d grown two heads.  The only extra head I’d grown was the one threatening to teepee my jeans.”

“Rayce’s husky laugh could probably give Cialis a run for its money in boner-inducing material.”

My Review:

This book was so steamy and sensual, I believe I may have broken the record for lady boners.  This couple sizzled from beginning to end, even when they didn’t want to.  Rie Warren has mad story telling skills and serious writing chops.  Her character development is so complete, I feel I have known these intriguing and sassy people for years, and actually wish I did.  The writing is unfailingly entertaining and fascinating, the banter between the characters is witty and sly.   The story line for Steele: Into Your Heart was more emotional and suspenseful than the first two books, as the characters experienced a full range of emotional events with considerable ups and down, gains and losses, grief and joy.  I was deeply entrenched in the story from the onset, and felt my heart pound numerous times, and for a variety of different reasons.  Rie Warren has a new fan-girl.

EXCERPT:

We found a nice side-by-side spot for our bikes, and I slid off mine. Before Ashe got off her bitchin’ black Triumph, I grasped her face between my palms. Leaning down, I sealed my mouth to hers. Warm, soft, and pliable, her lips opened at my lick. A deep tangle of tongues trailed from her mouth into mine, and we made out in the parking lot for good long while.
I unclasped her helmet as I took another slow taste of her mouth. Sleek and soft, wet and hot, Ashe met me with strong lunges of her own. Her head slanted beneath my fingertips. The new angle and hot dart of her tongue made me delirious.
She gripped my arms, spread her thighs, and hooked her boots behind my legs.
When my hard cock hit the juncture of her leathers, she broke off, moaning, “Oh, God, Brodie.”
Make her moan my name before her boots hit the pavement? Consider it done.
I straightened up and held my hand out to her. “Can’t wait to hear you say that when you’re naked.”
“Did I say evil?” She placed her palm in mine. “I meant evil incarnate. You’re a teasing bastard, aren’t you?”
“Little bit.”
“Looks like a lot more than a little bit.” She stared at the straining bulge inside my pants. The seams were about to burst open, even more so with her appreciative glance.
“Got that right.” I felt smug as shit as I wrapped an arm around her waist, guiding her to the hotel.
I was less than thrilled with the jackass in the monkey suit at the reception desk.
If the dude in the ugly maroon jacket with the “Hi, My Name is Ed” nametag didn’t stop staring at Ashe’s tits, he was gonna make real good friends with my fists. Then we could call him “Dead Ed”. Lucky for him, he handed over the room key at the same time Ashe drove her hand into my back pocket to grab my ass.
Better.
The pimply teenager valet-dude offered to take my two bags up on the wheely cart—probably looking for another fifty tip.
“I got this one, braw. But good effort. I like it.”
He grinned at me.
While we waited for the elevator, Ashe narrowed her eyes at me. “So you’re really a big softie.”
I leaned against the wall, crossed my arms, and stared at her through lowered eyelashes. A smile curled my lips. “Not sure who you’re callin’ soft.”
Her gaze darted to the obvious hard formation of my cock.
“My bad.” She tucked her pretty pink lip between her lips.
The elevator dinged, the door opened, and I grabbed her hand to pull her inside. “About to be very bad.”
As soon as the doors closed us inside the empty car, I hit the stop button. Ashe’s eyes flared silver and wide when I cornered her. I dragged my hands through the blonde hair she’d streaked in flirtatious pink, gripping it at the base of her neck. With one yank, I bared her throat. Her breasts swelled against my chest, and I bent to suckle the long column of her neck.
“Your goatee tickles.” She shivered.
“Good or bad?”
She rubbed my short whiskers with her hand. “Good.”
I sucked her skin hard, making sure to leave a mark on her neck. “Just good?”
“Really good!” Her voice rose. “Ahhh, really, really good.”
“Just wait until you feel it against your cunt,” I whispered in her ear.
Ashe rolled her hips forward to hit mine. She dug her fingers into my ass.
I cupped my hand against her mound. Her heat invaded my skin but too much fucking fabric was in my way to do her right.
“Fuck. Why aren’t you wearing a skirt?”
“Don’t do skirts.”
I ripped open the buttons on her pants and slid my fingers inside. A soft little trail of curls led to her plump wet lips.
Nice.
“A skirt would be easier.” Slipping two fingers into her tight heat, I grinded the heel of my palm against her clit.
